Finishes Pumpa

Hello Everyone,  I hope all is well.  I finally finished my pumpkin.  It is a bit messed up.  It is supposed to be even on both sides, but of course, this is me, so it is NOT!!  My husband says that all pumpkins are crooked and not perfect anyway...so it looks real. LOL.

It took me a bit of time to finish this piece because i made it crooked and it upset me, so i kept putting it off.

Anyway, Here it is:

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

Much Love,
Jenn

Mishaps

Last night i set my stitching on fire.  Yes, I really did.   I put it on the stove while I readied the towel and the teapot to tea stain it some more, the beautiful one i just made, and already started stitching on, when all of a sudden I smelled something burning.  It was on FIRE!!!  It burned a huge hole right through it.  I will have to take a pic and share it with you all.

Also, the night before, while stitching, I stabbed myself in the lip.

Oy Vey!!

I've Been RAK'd, Finishes, My First Dye Job

Hello Everyone,  Thank you for coming to my blog!  So much to tell you all.

First and most importantly I have been RAK'd!  I want to thank
Helen
Pam
and Pamela

I want you to know I am paying it forward also.

Second my facebook group is taking off.  Please come join us http://www.facebook.com/groups/210565125666090/

Third I have two finishes to share and two frame jobs.  They are a bit wonky, but I love them anyway...

This I made for my mom and just finished it and framed it:

I wanted to keep it but I am not a mom....lol...plus i made it for her while she was in the hospital last week.

This one is the cat I made before and just framed:
I just finished this one, as well:

I did it on aida, i tried it on the linen and just couldnt take it.  I have the chart still and the backing and the beads and string to sew it up, it's supposed to be a pin cushion, but I do not have the linen, i killed that, or the threads, i used those up, but I am giving the stuff that is left away, first who says they want it gets it.

Last but not least....I dyed my own fabric.  I am going to use it with Thine is the Trick and the Treat (Yes I finally got it!!!!!!  I am so happy!!!!)

I used tea bags.  It has the tye dyed look i wanted.  I am so happy with how it came out.  Excuse the mess in the background!

Well I hope everyone is doing well.  I look forward to reading your blogs!!

Much Love,
Jenn

Started A Facebook Group

so the crosstitch challenge group was such a great idea i tried to spread the word on facebook to all my stitching friends, they loved the idea but hate yahoo groups i guess.  they asked me to make one on facebook, so I did.  so we are doing the 15 projects for the year, as well, but we are including big wips.  That is to encourage us to finish them.  SO we are choosing 15 projects we want to finish in a year.  we start jan 1st.

also in the group in the albums i posted some patterns I am looking to get rid of for only a buck for shipping.
The group is http://www.facebook.com/groups/210565125666090/

Stalemate

I am truly at a stitching stalemate.  I messed up the house I was doing and have to rip the ENTIRE thing out because I do not have the aida to start fresh.  So frustrating.  I wish my gift certificate for AC Moore would come already.  I have nothing i want to stitch right now but my HAED but that will take me forever so I need the side projects to help me along.  I found 15 designs for the crazy january group, only to realize i hate two of them and will give them away on here when i have funds for shipping.  I dont really like the rest of them either.  I AM SO UPSET.  I HAVE NO STASH REALLY and nothing to stitch.  I want to cry and my hands are itching to do something!!!!!!  Good thing is i found some stuff to give away.  Bad thing is i found some projects I guess I could stitch if I stop puking on them.  blah to it all

The lastest

Hello Everyone,

I thought it was about time for an update on my stitching.  Last night was my stitching night with my friends at Kranberry Kupboard.  As always, it was so much fun.   They were so supportive and impressed with my taking on my first HAED.  They are the most wonderful group of ladies.

I worked on my HAED and got my first 10x10 done!!
I have a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG way to go, but it's a start!  And, I loved doing it.

Next I did "my framing" of three finished pieces.  Of course they came out wonky.  I am always and forever crooked!
I am also obviously sideways and blurry!!  Thank you Meari for fixing the pic for me and making it straight!!!

One of my little brother's best friends lives in sweden.  He asked me if I could make him three hello kitties for his nieces.  Of course I said yes.  They were small and I am thinking of making myself one!

I did them on the aida with silver floss going through it.  I didnt fill in the white, just left it the shiny aida and it looks sooo cute!!

I am working on my house also, the one from posts before when I asked what to do next and chose the house.  Well I think I made a mistake and I just hope I can fudge it along.  I do not want to take apart anything!  NO FROGS!!!

Well I guess that is all for tonight.  I am hoping to go through my stitching stuff and maybe find something for another give away.

Oh yes, I am looking for magazines.  I LOVE ME SOME MAGS.  If anyone has mags they are looking to get rid of, please let me know.  I am willing to trade, pay shipping, whatever.

Much Love,
Jenn

Cat Finish & Chart for Sale

I finally finished the kitty, so cute.  I love these little projects so much.  Here is the cat:

I am debating if I will give away the pattern now or keep it.

I also bought two patterns for mill hill off line, not realizing it was only the pattern and the paper.  I am really pissed off about it.  I am thinking of selling one.  It doesnt come with anything and I have no money to buy the necessary beads and buttons.  If anyone is interested I am selling it for $1.50.  To cover shipping.

My Cat and Mandala Type Thing

My cat progress:

This is my mandala type thingie:

Whew, A Better Day

So I did put down the stitching of my autumn piece.  I am glad I did that.  Now I can think of it without getting overwhelmed.  I think being so tired with no sleep added to my being upset.  Last night I was going bonkers over stitching because I was beyond tired and couldnt sleep due to thinking about projects.  I have way too much time on my hands!

I started a cat in a pumpkin one that I can not find a pic of on line.  I am like half done with it already, it is that small...and i will post pics when I am done with it.  I hope to finish it tonight or tomorrow.

These are the next patterns I want to buy:

Thine is the Trick and the Treat
and then

Earth Goddess

I know earth goddess was in a mag.  If anyone has the mag may I buy it from you???

Lots of Love Guys!!

Hating My Current WIP

I am working on my autumn mandala and I am hating it.  My stitches are not coming out clean and straight.  I am just hating making it.  I am so upset by it.  It will not be done by this autumn, because I do not plan to pick it up again for a long time.  I just hate it!!

I couldnt sleep last night because all I thought about was stitching.  So I stayed up and stitched, and it was a mistake!  You can not stitch while sleepy.  I made so many mistakes.  But I am going to continue on it and I love it anyway.

Two mill hill charts came in the mail for me today.  I am sooo happy!!  Maybe I will start on those and then my house.  Of course as i look at them, I do not have the string.  oy vey.  Maybe not a good day, stitching wise.

Some Leaflets I Found and Want to Give Away

Hello Everyone.  I want to thank you all for continuing to read my blog and thank you for all the compliments.  While looking through some patterns I found some old leaflets I got from the thrift store that I do not need and will never work from.  Whoever wants them can have them.  It will be first come first serve.  I don't even know if anyone would want them.  I just have a horrible habit of buying anything cross stitch I find in a thrift store.
These are the three:

Country Quackers to Cross Stitch

This one is Love Those Country Miniatures

and this last one is Country Homestead Series

New Finish and Today's Shopping

Hello Hello Everyone!

Today was a great day.  DH spoiled me rotten.  I got enough dmc for two projects, thanks also to joanns sale.  Gorgeous fluffy yarn at 97 cents a skein.  Then hubby says i can get a HAED..my first!!!  He said two but they are not on sale anymore, so I will only get one.  Now to pick it.  That is the hard part.

Here is something I finished, after a year, because i hate backstitching.  I did it last night with my ladies group.  I really missed them.  Due to funds, I did not see them for a while, but I was back and they missed me as much as I missed them.

Here is my fininsh:

Hope everyone is having a great day, as well!!

Here is my latest Finish:

I did it!!!

I finished my Mill Hill Beaded Ornament.  I loved it.  I know I know, I complained at first, but didn't I get it done fast!!  I went looking for more of them, but of course being broke, I can't get a new one.  But here is the finished product:

I cut a little bit of the side so it may fall apart.  ugh!

Which to Choose

I want to start a bigger project, well big for me, and I am not sure which pattern I want to make.  I love them all.  I also found out i have a ton of leaflets that I don't need. So I will be giving those away slowly.  But back to this topic.  Here are the four I have lowered my biggie down to:

Then there was another big witchy one i have, but id rather do little witchy ones for now.  But the other big one is for fall.  UGH.  So many decisions.  I DID NOT even LOOK as the kits I have. LOL.  Maybe I should.  I know I have geisha kits.  Maybe that means I should start another one other then a geisha.  So the house or the tea tray.  I am leaning towards the house maybe?  Its just so cutesy!

What does everyone think?

Beaded Away

Tell me why I got on a kick?!? and now, I must say, I am liking the beading, it is not so bad.  Thanks to all of you lovely friends, I have gotten some great ideas on ways to handle the beads.  I put them in a little tupperware with a lid.  I can store my floss in there, too!!  Anyway, here is my progress.  I finished the birdhouse and the snowman's hat.  Tomorrow I will start on the snowman himself.

I did some of the beading wrong.  It was supposed to go flat, but I could not figure out how to do that.  It looks good anyway.  Least DH thinks so!  hahahaha.

I also have my cauldron started.  I didnt take a pic of that.  Its only a few lines of black, so boring.

Well I am off to read!  I am reading a great book called "Room" by Emma Donohue.  It is about a woman who was kidnapped and gives birth to a boy and they are trapped in this room.  It is all from the child's perspective.  It is really a good book.  Check it out.

Some Finishes, A Pattern I Made, & a Giveaway!!!

Hi Everyone,  I want to first say thank you for following me!!!  WOW 17 people!!!  I thought no one would care!!!

Anyway, I finished my salem stitchery:

Instead of the color they said to use, I picked a dark gray I had in my stash so I didnt have to buy another for the words and border.

Here is a pattern I drew up and am working on now.  I am only doing the cauldron and bubbles though:

NOW FOR THE GIVEAWAY YAY!!  I will prob have too many of these.  The pattern I am giving away is by Val's Stitchin Stuff.  It is the cat one I made.  Now I know the buttons are used, but there are two patterns on this leaflet, and one doesnt use the buttons and the other you can just get heart and cat button for.  Here is a pic of the patterns:

The Way I will do this is that anyone who is interested in this pattern please leave a response saying so.  Then On Monday I will put everyones name in a bowl and have hubby take a paper.  sound fair?

Beading, What????

I started my snowman, yes it is 2am.  I am on a stitching frenzy.  I love stitching on paper.  I hate doing the beading.  I am going to finish this dang it.

I am thinking I should start something else with it.  One of the ladies in I love crosstiching is doing a wedding sampler that was a free pattern.  This is it:

I really like it.  I am thinking, maybe just maybe this should be my next project.  But then Im a copy cat.  lol.

Or I could do the little one I made up.  I will post a pic of that later.  Too lazy to go and take a pic now.  It is 2am you know!!  I could go through my stash, lord knows I have tons of stash.  But wait, I started beading again, jewelry and bookmarks, so they are blocking my stash box.  Ugh, that means cleaning up.  Soooo....hmmmmm.........maybe i will quickly do part of the pattern I made up, I realize i hate the top.  So I will do the cauldron and bubbles.  Then I will do the sampler.  Done, Thank you!  LOL!!!

I really need sleep

I Framed Some, in a Way

So I took the advice of the ladies on the board, and this is what I they look like:

Ok so goddess bless is crooked, but it wouldnt be homemade without the snags.

I also now have a blister on my thumb from the friggin glue gun...OUCH!!!!

My Little Darlings

These are the two most special people in my life.  My niece and nephew, Lilia, and Waldan.  I don't have any children, but even if I did, I don't think I could love them as much as i love these two!!!

Thank you for flipping them Meari!!!!!!! LOL!!
Much Love and Many Blessings,
Jenn

My Work

I finally got off my lazy butt and took some pics.  Now I didnt say good pics, just pics, of my work.  Let's see where shall we begin.  I guess my two biggest projects I have ever done.  The Buddha was like my first real crosstitch i've done.

Next are two of my favorites, my geishas and my teapot

arent my geishas cute!!!  and i love teapots.  i know they are all wrinkly.  i am not the best framer.  and i cut the teapot wonky.  I am looking to learn new ways to frame and the wonderful ladies in I love Crosstitch are teaching me what they do.

Here are some finishes.  My cat one.  Which I am thinking of raffling off (but i used the charms), and my home blessing.

Here is what I am working on now.  My progress.  I am not far from finished.
Besides crosstitch I also love to do primitive stitching.  Here are my pilows:

and two I have hanging:

Well that is it.  I have some pieces I have done scattered here and there.  I know my mom likes to have a bunch of what I make, so some are there, some are in drawers.  I just throw them wherever, and that is not good.  I have to think of a better way to go about them.

Till later,
Jenn
